MS. JADE MADDEN
LEAD ELEMENTARY II EDUCATOR
Bachelor’s from the United States Navel Academy, Master's of Science in Education in Mathematics from St. John’s University, NYS Dual Certification, CPR/AED Infant/Child and Adult Certification, Level I CrossFit Certification & 10 years of experience as an Educator. Currently receiving her Montessori Credential in Elementary I & II.
Jade is a former Naval Officer and a mother of three that loves playing sports, giving back to her community, and serving her country.
Jade took a different route to becoming an educator than most of her colleagues. She attended the United States Naval Academy where she was an economics major and a scholar athlete on the Navy Track team (NCAA Division I). She graduated and was commissioned as a Naval Officer on a destroyer stationed in Pearl Harbor where she was the main propulsion officer in charge of thirty enlisted seamen. Following her military service, Jade was accepted into the New York City Teaching Fellowship where she earned her M.S. in Education from St. John’s University while teaching in Brooklyn. Jade has taught in Elwood and Huntington School Districts where she also coached soccer, track and softball. She lives in Huntington with her husband and their three children. She has her CrossFit Level I certification and is very involved with non-profits that benefit wounded military – including the Travis Manion Foundation and America’s VetDogs.
