MS. PATRICIA A. PULS
ART + DESIGN EDUCATOR / ASSISTANT LOWER ELEMENTARY EDUCATOR / LEAD SPANISH IMMERSION
BA from Georgia State University and former Resident Artist.
Patricia relocated to Long Island nine years ago from her hometown of Atlanta, and occasionally you can still hear traces of her southern accent. She loves gardening, sewing, classical music, thrifting and upcycling random materials into art projects. She also enjoys hiking with her 3-legged rescue dog, Gus, and exploring Long Island.
Patricia graduated Magna cum Laude with a BA in Art from Georgia State University. Shortly afterwards she became the Resident Artist for a high-end clothing retailer where she created ever-changing, large scale installations and window displays. After relocating to Long Island, her focus turned to raising her two children, Harper and Fisher. During this time, she discovered child-centered education philosophies and the value of allowing children to learn at their own pace, as well as the importance of preserving their childhood. When Patricia began working at her son’s co-op preschool as a teaching assistant, she realized her passion for sharing her experience as an artist with children. She adores finding creative ways to utilize everyday materials and found objects into imaginative projects. When she is not sharing her love of art with others, Patricia is either serving as a docent at Billy Joel’s private motorcycle museum or tending to her garden in St. James.
