TSH SPECIAL
PROGRAMS
Purpose-Built Pathways for Unique Learners.
No two children follow the same path—and our Special Programs are intentionally designed with that truth at the center. These experiences extend learning beyond the core day, offering specialized instruction, mentorship, and enrichment that respond to individual strengths, needs, and curiosities. From academic support to passion-driven exploration, each program reflects our belief that education should adapt to children—not the other way around.

JAM SESSION
Learner Enrichment Experiences
Designed to give Learners the space to explore disciplines, ideas and interest with depth, creativity and purpose.
The TSH JAM Session Program is a structured, short-term enrichment offering designed to deepen Learners’ engagement with specific academic disciplines, creative pursuits, or interdisciplinary themes. JAM Sessions provide focused, immersive learning experiences that allow students to explore ideas, skills, and concepts beyond the scope of the core curriculum while maintaining alignment with The School House’s pedagogical values.
Each JAM Session is intentionally designed and facilitated by Educators or subject-area specialists and may take place during designated periods throughout the school year. Programs emphasize active participation, inquiry, collaboration, and applied learning, giving Learners the opportunity to build confidence, extend mastery, and discover new interests in a supportive, developmentally appropriate environment.
JAM Sessions may focus on areas such as science, writing, the arts, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, or other areas of Learner interest. While the content varies by session, all JAM Sessions share a commitment to thoughtful preparation, purposeful instruction, and respect for each Learner’s individual pace and strengths.

BLUE JAY ATHLETICS
Where Movement Builds Confidence.
An after-school sports program designed to help Learners move their bodies, grow their confidence, and soar—together.
At The School House, we believe movement is not a break from learning—it is learning.
Blue Jay Athletics is our after-school sports program designed to support physical development, teamwork, resilience, and joy through intentional, age-appropriate athletic experiences. Whether Learners are discovering a sport for the first time or building confidence through movement, this program meets them where they are and helps them grow.
Our approach prioritizes healthy movement over competition, confidence-building over pressure, and teamwork and sportsmanship over winning. Under the guidance of trusted Educators, Learners engage in a rotating mix of athletic activities that support coordination, strength, balance, and endurance, while also practicing communication, leadership, and perseverance.
This program is not about trophies or scoreboards. It is about helping Learners understand their bodies, challenge themselves, and experience the satisfaction that comes from effort, improvement, and shared success.
Like our Blue Jay mascot, Learners are encouraged to stretch their wings, try new things, and discover what their bodies can do in a supportive, energizing environment—one that celebrates movement, growth, and confidence long after the school day ends.

THE SHARED TABLE -
A MOMENT FOR PRACTICING GRACE & COURTESY
Building grace, courtesy & relationships.
Each Wednesday, The School House gathers for a school-wide Formal Lunch—bringing together our Primary, Elementary, and Middle School Learners around beautifully set tables.
White linen tablecloths, proper flatware and silverware, glasses, cloth napkins, and vases of fresh flowers transform lunch into a shared ritual rather than a routine. Learners dine alongside Educators, practicing good table manners and thoughtful etiquette in a setting that feels both elevated and welcoming.
More than a meal, Wednesday Formal Lunch is an intentional pause in the week—designed to foster meaningful conversation, strengthen relationships across age groups, and cultivate confidence, courtesy, and social awareness. It is a living expression of our belief that education extends beyond academics, and that how we gather, communicate, and care for one another matters.
At The School House, we don’t rush through lunch. We use it to build community.

FARM-TO-TABLE HOT LUNCH PROGRAM
Nourishing Growing Minds
Our Hot Lunch Program offers Learners warm, wholesome midweek meals prepared with care to support healthy bodies, focused minds, and meaningful school days through a thoughtful farm-to-table approach.
Served on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the program is designed to provide Learners with a nourishing lunch made from seasonal ingredients and prepared in a way that is both thoughtful and child-friendly. Meals are prepared locally by Chef Celene, “The Recipe Therapist,” and reflect the same intentionality that defines every part of The School House experience.
Each enrolled Learner receives a complete lunch that includes a protein, a starch, and a seasonal vegetable. Families select one protein option for the full session, while sides rotate weekly based on seasonality and availability. The result is a lunch experience that feels warm, dependable, and rooted in quality food that supports the rhythm of the school day.
More than a convenience, the program is an extension of our values: care, nourishment, and thoughtful preparation for children. It offers families an easy way to provide a satisfying lunch option while giving Learners the comfort of a freshly prepared meal shared in community.
Parents must register their Learner for the Hot Lunch Program separately from annual TSH enrollment. The program is billed as an additional per-session cost beyond tuition.
