Certification, 12 years Educator and Administrative Experience.
Kaitlyn is a lover of reading, running, and discovering the magic and joy of learning something
new with her family. She believes in leaving everything better than it was found, and spreading
kindness wherever you go.
Kaitlyn knew she wanted to be an educator since the third grade, when her classroom teacher
created an environment that fostered a love for discovering new ideas, working together, and
making learning fun. She knew she wanted to do the same for her future students, and continue
to contribute toward supporting the next generation of kind, curious, empathetic global citizens.
Kaitlyn earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Childhood Education from SUNY Oneonta, a
Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of Delaware, and is completing a
Doctorate of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University. Kaitlyn taught
as a 2nd, 4th and 5th grade classroom educator, and believes that success in understanding
happens when learners can make authentic, meaningful connections to and across information
and ideas. Her passion for cultivating quality instructional experiences have led her to pursue
roles enhancing teacher development through research and practice, and working one-on-one
with learners to provide wrap-around executive functioning support, as she knows that learners
thrive when they commit to continuous exploration, questioning, connecting, and practicing.
