Tour NY’s Most Sought-After Educational Experience for Pre-K - 8th Grade. The School House is an ode to what we want schools to be in America! We are hosting two tours for prospective TSH Families who want to learn more about our Mission and why making this scientifically driven, engaging and dynamic learning opportunity available to more working families throughout our country is becoming even more important. The tours will be led by Founder & President Mimosa Jones Tunney and Principal Meg Leonard and take Parents through The School House (PreK - 8th). Please make sure to submit an application prior to signing up for a tour. Learners are strongly encouraged to attend!

ABOUT US:

The School House and the American Emergent Curriculum (AEC) has a simple mission — to connect what we know works in learning with what we love about traditional American schools. Instead of relying on just one pedagogy or one set of standards, The School House thoughtfully combines the most effective ways of learning: a Structured Materials Foundation (Montessori), Project-Based Learning, Critical Thinking & Group Dialogue and Art, Nature + Design Studio (Reggio Emilia), with the things we all grew up with and loved in public school: access to great sports programs, performing arts, civics and economic diversity. The result is a highly integrated curriculum serving a Community of Learners who thrive not just academically but emotionally, socially and physically in the most crucial time of their young lives.

*Please keep in mind that Open Houses are only for those families who have submitted an application fee ($50), as well as committing to being able to pay an additional fee ($100) if the family would like to continue with enrollment after visitation. It should be noted that this Open House is for families who are interested in TSH East Northport.
