MS. SHWETA BHARTI

EDUCATOR / MANAGER OF PEDAGOGICAL EVIDENCE AND DATA

AMI (Association Montessori Internationale / USA) Elementary Diploma, AMI Primary Diploma, MS in Elementary Education, MA in English, BA in English (Honors), 9 years of experience as an ELT (English Language Teaching) editor for K-12, experience in providing literacy intervention.

Shweta is a lifelong learner, traveler, and reader. As most Indians, she is a polyglot and combines her love for reading with learning new languages.

Shweta believed that she was content and happy as a Senior Editor working at prestigious Oxford University Press, India. She was designing curriculum, creating textbooks and blended learning tools and learning management systems. Her experience in the education publishing industry, working closely with renowned authors, teachers, and policymakers, helped her gain an understanding of different perspectives of education. She was flabbergasted to realize that there had been almost no advancement in the education system since she was a child. With a paradigm shift, she decided to get a Master's degree in Education. She got the opportunity to volunteer as a literacy intervention tutor to public elementary school students through one of the programs offered at the University of Rochester. Over the years, Shweta has come to believe that children have taught her more than she could have imagined. And thus, she is here at TSH as she feels that an open and welcoming school that fosters Learners is the best place to find a nurturing environment for both children and adults, and their journey to discover knowledge and themselves.
