MS. NICOLE WALKER

DIRECTOR, THE LITTLE HOUSE

AMS Early Childhood Credential, BA in Elementary / Special Education CPR / AED / Epi-Pen Infant / Child and Adult Certified, 6 years of experience as an Educator.

Nicole is a “glass half full” person who loves to seek joy in life’s simple moments, and who is fond of spending her time enjoying nature’s beauty or being cozy at home with her family and dog, Max!

Nicole has always been eager to become an Early Childhood educator. She was fascinated with the workings of young children and sought out a better understanding of child development. Nicole attended Dowling College, where she studied, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. During her time at Dowling, Nicole indulged in her love for horses, and horseback riding by riding on the college’s Equestrian team for the next four years. After graduation, Nicole found her niche in education through her discovery of Montessori, and received her Montessori teaching credential in 2013. She then spent the next 6 years commuting to NYC to teach at a Montessori school. Nicole is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education through Concordia College, and looks forward to having the opportunity to nurture each child’s unique sense of wonder, and to instill a life long love of learning!
