MS. TERESA NIEVES

EDUCATOR, ELEMENTARY

Early Childhood Educator, Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Arts with a
Minor in Psychology, Associate Degree in Liberal Arts with a Minor in Psychology, CPR/AED
Infant/Child and Adult Certified, Fluent in English and Spanish, 7 Years of Experience as an Educator.

Teresa is a proud mother of two that has a passion for art, creativity, and all things Harry Potter.

As an Educator, Teresa’s goal has always been for each child to learn, develop, grow, and have fun. Being entrusted with such important, foundational years of a
child’s life is a task she holds very dear to her heart. Graduating from St. Joseph’s College with a
bachelor’s degree in Studio Arts and a minor in Psychology, Teresa developed a deep
understanding of both the technical and emotional aspects of creativity, which she finds to be
invaluable in teaching and inspiring young minds. As children work their way through curriculum, Teresa strives to create an environment that not only caters to the children’s
academic needs, but to their social, emotional, and moral needs as well. Teresa believes that
when provided with the right environment, support, and structure, young children are naturally curious, eager to learn, and capable of anything. Overall, Teresa’s goal is to help children feel confident, capable, and excited to learn, by providing them with a structured and loving
environment that supports both freedom and responsibility. Teresa graduated St. Jospeh’s College with a Degree with Honors Summa Cum Laude, and as a member of the Kappa Gamma Pi
Honor Society, and Kappa Pi International Art Honor Society.
